French: Sarko-Sego in 2012

A new BVA poll for France Soir brings some fun results: even if the French don't want to see Sarkozy up for reelection, they still prefer him over possible challengers from the right (24% for Sarkozy, 15% for Fillon, 14% for Juppe, 12% for Villepin). Sarkozy also wins 46% support as the first choice for 2012 among right-wing voters.

Dominique Strauss-Khan leads as the French favorite to represent the left in 2012 with 30%, followed by Bertrand Delanoe at 24% and Segolene Royal at 20%. But the situation is completely reversed among left-wing voters: 33% Royal, 30% Delanoe, 21% DSK. Meanwhile, Royal was pressing the advantage today on France Info, criticizing any and all actions of the government without concrete counter-proposals.
